Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 6, 2026

Korea Map Link (“the App”) is published by Sparkish. This policy explains what information the App processes, why, and your choices.

Summary

Information we process

Information you provide

When you search, you may enter place names, addresses, or Google Maps links. This text is used to find matching places and is sent to configured map search providers (Naver Local Search, Kakao Local API) over HTTPS. We design analytics and crash reports to avoid storing raw search text where possible; diagnostics may include input type and query length.

Information stored on your device

The App may store recent searches (up to 20 entries), favorites, onboarding completion, language preference, and shortcut-related “last place” data locally using on-device storage (SwiftData / app storage).

Location

If you allow location access, the App uses your approximate location only while in use to bias search results toward your current area. You can deny or revoke permission in iOS Settings.

Advertising and tracking

The App shows ads on some screens (not on the taxi card). Before personalized ads, we request consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) and, when applicable, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT). You can change ad privacy choices in the App’s Settings when offered.

Analytics and diagnostics

When Firebase is configured, we may collect app events (such as searches, map opens, and onboarding steps) and crash or non-fatal error reports via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve reliability. Firebase may receive device and app instance identifiers as described in Google’s Firebase Privacy documentation.

Third-party services

Opening Naver Map, Kakao Map, or Google Maps sends you to those third-party apps or websites under their own policies.

Data retention

On-device history and favorites remain until you delete them or remove the App. Server-side analytics and crash data retention follow Google Firebase default retention unless we configure shorter periods in the Firebase console.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use HTTPS for network requests and follow platform security practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International users

If you use the App outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, including the United States and South Korea.

Your rights and choices

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
